Sunday, September 4th, Mauckport Indiana
Kentuckiana Pro Wrestling returned with a BANG Sunday September 4th in Mauckport Indiana. The show was held outdoors at Mauckport Fireworks. KPW made wrestling history with the possibly first ever drive-in wrestling show and tailgate party! Fans actually pulled close to ringside and sat on the tailgates of their trucks to watch the show! It was a great event with prizes given to fans from Doe Run Inn (free dinners), KPW (free DVD’s) and Mauckport Fireworks (a huge fireworks assortment)!
WMMG 93.5 FM’s Brother Steve Robbins sang the National Anthem and a moment of silence was observed for our troops and the Hurricane Katrina victims.
WMMG 93.5 FM’s “Super” Dave Clark welcomed everyone to the show and was quickly interrupted by KPW Champion Jeff Crowe and Dashing Don. In the opening, a Battle Royal was to be held to determine who would face Crowe at the end of the night for the KPW Championship. Don told the crowd, no one could defeat Crowe. Crowe said he would be watching the Battle Royal closely.

BATTLE ROYAL
The ring filled with KPW Superstars each hoping for a shot at the championship. During the match, his brother and fellow hated Big Clifty Thug, Hard Rock Higdon, threw out True Talent Trent Richards! Enraged, Trent pulled Hard Rock out of the battle royal! Finally the match came down to Vic the Bruiser and Justin Sane. Vic pounded Sane then went to clothesline him over the top rope. Sane ducked and Vic went sailing over the tope rope. As Sane celebrated his victory in the ring, Jeff Crowe attacked with a lead pipe to the back. Surprisingly, Vic the Bruiser came to the ring and ran Crowe off! Vic helped the injured Sane back to the dressing room.

Apollo defends against Wasted Youth: As Clark prepared to announce the next match, newcomer Wasted Youth interrupted him. Youth had been thrown out of the battle royal and he was furious. He demanded a match with anyone right now. KPW All-Counties Champion Apollo came to ringside and said not only would he wrestle Youth, but also he would put the All-Counties Championship on the line! Apollo dominated most of the match and came away with the victory.

Tag Team Title Match
American Made, Desert Shield and Desert Storm defend against Dashing Don’s Heartbreakers: The tag champs were lead to the ring by members of the Meade County Youth Soccer League waving American flags. It was a sea of red, white and blue and “USA” chants as American Made and Stormin’ Norman (Clark) entered the ring with the soccer kids. After the celebration, Dashing Don came to ringside to inform Clark that the contract reads if American Made loses the match, Clark will be fired from KPW and Don will be in charge. Don said he went to Miami Beach and found a new tag team, The Heartbreakers. The pink and black clad duo with their pink bolas danced to ringside and the crowd took an instant disliking to them. The Heartbreakers gave American Made one heck of a fight and it looked as if the titles would change hands. In the end Storm and Shield both clamped on an “American Dream” Sleeperhold! With the Heartbreakers fading away Don entered the ring and the Heartbreakers were disqualified. American Made quickly tossed Dashing Don and the Heartbreakers to ringside. Don retreated with his Heartbreakers as Stormin’ Norman and his Tag Team Champions celebrated in the ring.

THUG -vs- THUG
True Talent Trent Richards challenges Hard Rock Higdon: After a break, True Talent Trent Richards came to the ring and called out his brother and fellow Big Clifty Thug, Hard Rock Higdon. He asked Hard Rock why he tossed him out of the Battle Royal. Hard Rock apologized, but Richards demanded a match and the bell was rung! The brothers put on a spectacular contest proving they are two of the best in KPW today. With the match beginning to break down, the Heartbreakers came to the ring and tried to convince the two to stop fighting and make up. The brothers attacked the Heartbreakers! Afterwards, the brothers saw how well they worked together and left as friends once again.
